Meet your instructor
De'Anza

When I'm not mentoring, I'm a full-time artist, songwriter

and producer/multi-instrumentalist. I've been featured

on CNN, ABC’s Vista L.A., LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY and

popular radio outlets like NPR. I’ve also had the honor of

performing at prestigious music venues like Amoeba Music

in Hollywood, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and

opened 1,500 capacity concerts for well known International

Latin Artists.

Originating from Santa Fe, New Mexico, an area defined

by convergent cultures and rich folk art, I initially journeyed

west to Los Angeles on a mission to develop my own musical

identity and connect with the global music scene.

A graduate of Los Angeles College of Music, I later became

part of the teaching staff at Hollywood Music Academy.

Teaching is an incredibly personal experience that I cherish

and value. We've all had that one teacher in our life who was

so much more to us. That person inspired us and helped us

see things within our selves that we couldn't yet. We looked up

to them and admired their craft.

Music is the love of my life and teaching means so much

more to me then giving PDF's of scales to work on.

When a student places their trust in me to guide them on

their musical journey, I treat this responsibility with the highest

level of dedication.
